Rev. Anthony L. McPherson, MDiv

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Anthony McPherson is a St. Louis Native and considers himself a Jazz Theologian, one who balances freedom with boundaries; the individual with the group, and “what is” with the pursuit of “what might be”.  He is passionate about the works of transformative ministry and embracing the marginalized.

Pastor McPherson is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and has been in the pastoral ministry for nearly two decades.  He has been honored to lead several congregations in a greater understanding and practice of God’s liberating love and grace.

Pastor McPherson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary.  He is an instructor for the Missouri Conference Board of Examiners in preparing candidates for ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Pastor McPherson is committed to strengthening the bonds between church and community and is humbled to several boards.   Aside from being a child of God, Pastor McPherson is most grateful for his lovely wife, Nedra, his children, and grandchildren.

Pastor McPherson's favorite scripture is Micah 6:8 (MSG) ~ “But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously—take God seriously.”
